Maternal Mental Health
At Levin Psychotherapy, we understand the unique challenges and emotions that can arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Maternal mental health refers to the emotional well-being of women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. These are significant life events that can bring a range of emotions, from joy and excitement to stress and anxiety. It's important to recognize that it's normal to experience a wide spectrum of feelings during this journey.
Some common challenges related to maternal mental health include:
Postpartum depression and anxiety
Feelings of overwhelm and isolation
Adjusting to new roles and responsibilities
Grief and loss related to pregnancy complications or childbirth trauma
Stress related to parenting and family dynamics
Infertility and Third Party Reproduction
We want you to know that you're not alone in facing these challenges.
